Maine's Best practices in Bullying and Harassment prevention Information |
Bullying Home > Youth Voice and Insights Youth Voice and InsightsResearch shows that there is little success in school climate change without the explicit involvement and input from students. Student engagement includes everything from ensuring students are members of school planning committees to involving students to help implement surveys, to attending staff/student training and, of course, through their ongoing survey responses. In this section, we invite students to share their ideas about how to improve school climate by inviting youth to submit videos, journal-writings, or essays about what adults and youth can do to reduce bullying and harassment and to improve school climate in Maine. Here, we will also provide links to organizations that are experts in how to authentically engage youth in being a part of the solution towards improved school climate and bullying/harassment prevention as well as to youth-led videos, documentaries, and resources to incorporate into any school or community efforts.
