Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)

The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) is a federal law that focuses on improving outcomes for students with disabilities, beginning from birth to age 20. IDEA discretionary grants

DOE awarded IDEA discretionary grants to regional professional development collaboratives that promote partnerships with School Administrative Units (SAU) and Child Development Services (CDS). One of the goals of the grant recipients is to disseminate their models and practices statewide so that other SAUs and CDS sites might learn about the models and consider creating their own.
