Tax Relief

Maine Residents Property Tax and Rent Refund "Circuit Breaker" Program

Eligible Maine residents can receive a partial refund of property taxes and/or rent paid on their primary residence.

Application & Instructions. The application period for refunds of property tax assessed and rent paid during 2010 begins August 1, 2011. The application period for refunds of property tax assessed and rent paid during 2011 begins August 1, 2012 and ends May 31, 2013.
