Program Synopsis

The Maine Office of the Attorney General CLE presentation titled “Trial Practice: Hearsay” will be worth 3.0 CLE credits.

  • Professor Murray will explain what is or is not hearsay under Rule 801.
  • AAG Marchese will cover the Rule 803 exceptions.
  • AAG Benson will cover the Rule 804 exceptions, as well as the Confrontation Clause.

Registration Procedure

Attendance to this program is limited. In accordance with our office’s policy, employees of the Office of the Attorney General and government attorneys wishing to attend have first priority for attendance. Any employees of the Office of the Attorney General and government attorneys wishing to attend should e-mail their name, name of employer, and bar number, to Arlene Hines Harrison at arlene.harrison@maine.gov.

Registrations will be processed on a “first come first serve basis” with a waiting list for registrations that exceed the attendance limitations of this program. After November 13th, assuming there is still space available, registrations will be opened to nongovernment members of the bar in accordance with our office policy. As a result of the limited number of spaces available for this presentation, if you register and later find out that you cannot attend, please immediately notify Arlene Harrison by e-mail so someone else can attend in your place from the waiting list.
