Recommendations

These recommendations must be accomplished in the sequence as presented below.

Finalize and approve the criteria.
Designate and develop resources for an agency person and staff to perform or oversee the plant evaluations.
Establish a steering committee to review the results of the evaluations, provide additional input and approval of the listings.
Promulgate rules to formalize the criteria, process and terrestrial invasive plant list. These rules could be promulgated under the authority of 7 MRSA Chapter 405A.
