Notice:

  • LEAVE KEYS IN THE IGNITION. DO NOT REMOVE THEM FOR ANY REASON!
  • DO NOT DO ANYTHING TO THE VEHICLE. I.E. REMOVE WIRES ETCTHAT WILL PREVENT THE VEHICLE FROM STARTING.
  • IF ANYONE IS CAUGHT TAMPERING WITH A VEHICLE THEY WILL BE REQUIRED TO LEAVE AND WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO BID AT THIS AUCTION. MEASURES WILL BE TAKEN TO ASSURE THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE AT ANY FUTURE AUCTIONS!!!
  • NO ITEMS WILL BE MOVED OR STARTED UNTIL COMPLETION OF THE AUCTION!!!
  • TRANSIT PLATE-BEFORE A TRANSIT PLATE CAN BE ISSUED, A LETTER FROM YOUR INSURER WILL BE REQUIRED STATING A VEHICLE(S) PURCHASED ON October 4, 2014 AT THE MAINE STATE AUCTION WILL BE INSURED AT THE TIME OF THE SALE. NO TEMPORARY PLATE OF ANY KIND WILL BE ISSUED WITHOUT THIS WRITTEN STATEMENT FROM YOUR INSURANCE AGENT OR COMPANY!!!
  • PERMITS TO OPERATE UNINSPECTED VEHICLE-IF APPLICABLE, A PERMIT IS AVAILABLE FROM BUREAU OF MOTOR VEHICLE STAFF AT THE AUCTION.
  • DURING BIDDING, PLEASE DO NOT TALK WITH STAFF IN THE AUCTIONEER’S TRUCK.

Terms & Conditions

PAYMENT IN U.S. DOLLARS ONLY, VISA, MASTERCARD, DISCOVER CARD, CERTIFIED CHECK MUST BE MADE IN FULL TODAY. A 5.5% MAINE SALES TAX WILL BE ADDED TO THE PRICE OF ALL ITEMS, EXCEPT UPON PRESENTATION OF A RESALE CERTIFICATE AT THE TIME OF AUCTION REGISTRATION. CASHIERS AND MOTOR VEHICLE STAFF WILL BE AVAILABLE ONE HOUR AFTER THE END OF BIDDING SO PLEASE PAY PROMPTLY. ALL SALES ARE FINAL.

THE BUYER AGREES TO PAY ALL EXPENSES INCURRED BY BREACH OF THE TERMS & CONDITIONS OF THIS AUCTION. INCLUDING ALL REASONABLE ATTORNEY’S FEES.

THE STATE MAKES NO GUARANTEES OR WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED ON THE CONDITION OF ITEMS. ALL ITEMS ARE SOLD ON A "AS IS WHERE IS" BASIS. THE STATE IS NOT TO BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY TYPOGRAPHICAL, PRINTING, OR ADVERTISEMENT ERRORS. UNLESS SPECIFIED, THE CONDITION OF ALL ITEMS IS UNKNOWN. BIDDERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR VISUAL INSPECTION OF PROPERTY. DENTS, SCRAPES AND OTHER DAMAGE MAY NOT ALWAYS BE ON THE DISCLOSURE. OBVIOUS DAMAGE IS NOT A REASON TO RE-BID AN ITEM.

THE STATE RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ADD OR DELETE ITEMS, AS DEEMED NECESSARY; AND TO ACCEPT OR REJECT ANY OR ALL BIDS. THE STATE RESERVES THE RIGHT TO HOLD AN ITEM OVER UNTIL THE NEXT AUCTION IF AN ACCEPTABLE BID IS NOT OFFERED. THE STATE IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGE, INJURY, OR DEATH RESULTING FROM THE USE OF A VEHICLE OR EQUIPMENT FOLLOWING ITS SALE AT THE AUCTION. THE STATE IS HELD HARMLESS FROM ANY AND ALL CLAIMS AND LOSSES, ACCRUING FROM OR RESULTING TO ANY AND ALL CONTRACTORS, SUB-CONTRACTORS, MATERIALS, LABORERS, AND ANY OTHER PERSON, IN CONNECTION WITH THE PERFORMANCE OF THIS PUBLIC AUCTION. BIDDERS MUST ACCEPT ALL RESPONSIBILITY FOR BEING AWARE OF WHICH ITEM IS CURRENTLY UP FOR BID. IF YOU ARE THE SUCCESSFUL BIDDER, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PURCHASE OF THAT ITEM. THE STATE WILL NOT RE-BID ITEMS UNLESS WE HAVE MADE A SIGNIFICANT DISCLOSURE ERROR.

AT MANAGEMENTS SOLE DISCRETION, A BIDDERS PRIVILEGE TO BID MAY BE SUSPENDED FOR CURRENT AND FUTURE AUCTION.

REMOVAL OF ALL ITEMS MUST BE TODAY. THE LOADING AND REMOVAL OF ITEMS IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER. WE WILL ASSIST IF REQUESTED PROVIDED THE LOADING CAN BE DONE SAFELY WITHOUT RISK TO STAFF OR EQUIPMENT. IF YOU DECIDE TO LEAVE IT, IT IS AT THE RISK OF BUYER AND SHOULD BE REMOVED BY THE END OF THIS WEEKEND. BRING YOUR RECEIPT IN CASE CAPITOL POLICE HAS ANY QUESTIONS.
