Safety & Environmental Services

 

The Bureau's Division of Safety & Environmental Services provides asbestos, lead and indoor air quality assessment and mitigation oversight for public schools and state facilities. See Title 5 Section 1742-E, subsection 2. The Division performs the following functions, among many others:

  • Respond to calls for assistance from Superintendents
  • Participate on Indoor Air Quality Task Force with the Department of Education and others
  • Address IAQ/ Environmental issues in schools
  • Testify, if required, in arbitrations and judicial proceedings
