CHOICES
Career
Software Available in Bureau of Human Resources
The
career software, CHOICES, in use by the CareerCenter, is now available
“on-site” for affected employees. The software has an assessment
area that includes an interest profile, skills checklist, Career
Aptitude Survey, and a Work Importance Locator (work values).
Data bases for occupations and work history are also included.
The third area, called “Portfolio” contains tools to help the user
prepare a resume and other documents to use in their job search.
The
CHOICES program is comprehensive and very user-friendly. Affected
employees interested in exploring CHOICES should contact Valerie
Oswald to schedule an appointment. Valerie can be reached at 624-7769
or (e-mail) valerie.oswald@maine.gov
