Habitat: Moist woods and woodlands.

Range: Newfoundland and eastern Quebec south to Maine, northern Vermont, northern Michigan, and northeastern Minnesota; southern Alaska and northern British Columbia. More widespread in the western Cordillera, Chile and Argentina.

Phenology: Flowers late June and July; fruits July to September.

Known Distribution in Maine: There are no documented occurrences of Osmorhiza depauperata in Maine.
