“For me, the fun lies in developing partnerships and forming relationships. I love to listen to the passion that entrepreneurs have for their business. So when I see them open their doors for the first time or finish an expansion, it’s a great feeling.
It’s a good day when I can remove an obstacle, provide a resource, and make the road to success a little easier for a Maine business.
For example, when Bartley’s Dockside Restaurant, a Kennebunk institution, was forced to close due to code compliance issues, I was asked to help mediate with the owners and State and Local authorities. After hard work by all sides, this 35-year-old, family-run business reopened shortly, immediately hiring 12 local people.”
