List
Servers
List servers are automatic electronic mailing lists. When e-mail
is addressed to a list server mailing list, it is automatically
broadcast to everyone on the list. The result is similar to a
newsgroup or forum, except that the messages are transmitted as
e-mail and are therefore available only to individuals on the
list.
Air-Inventory List Server
The Air-Inventory List Server, operated
by the Maine Department of Environmental Protection, provides
an electronic forum for Maine companies, consultants and
regulators to discuss issues related to the reporting of
air emissions and annual inventory submissions. The
list server provides a common area for regulators and businesses
to solve inventory-related problems, such as appropriate
emission factors, submission formats, and i-STEPS software
problems. The list server also provides a convenient
and timely way of distributing information from U.S. EPA and
the Maine DEP to list subscribers.
To subscribe to Air-Inventory, send an e-mail
to air-inventory-request@lists.maine.gov with
with word "SUBSCRIBE" in the body (not the subject
line) of the e-mail. Air-Inventory is
currently a "closed" list which means that all new participants
must be approved by the list owner. Maine DEP does not discriminate,
however, have a "closed" list will prevent spammers
and other interests unrelated to air emissions inventories
from subscribing and distributing unwanted messages through
the list server.
To post a message to Air-Inventory, send an e-mail
with your question or comment to air-inventory@lists.maine.gov. Please
refrain from including large (>1Mb) attachments to your postings
as it presents difficulties for people who have dial-up (56K or
slower) connections. Also, when you want to respond, please
respond to the entire list. We'll all benefit from what
you have to say!
If you have questions about the list itself, its content, or trouble
subscribing or unsubscribing, contact the list owner by sending
an e-mail to owner-air-inventory@lists.maine.gov.
Air-Inventory Digests
- Compilations of Air-Inventory list server messages,
by month.
EPA List Servers
U.S. EPA's Emission Factor and Inventory Group (EFIG) maintains
the CHIEF list server. Once you subscribe to CHIEF you
will receive notices of conferences, new EFIG documents, and other
emission factor and inventory information via e-mail. This list
server also distributes the CHIEF Newsletter
in text format. For more information about the CHIEF list
server, visit http://www.epa.gov/ttn/chief/listserv.html.
