Mineral Processing Application MaterialsThe following application materials are specific to the mineral processing industry and may be used by any facility wishing to license rock crushers, asphalt plants, and concrete batch plants.
Chapter 115 Minor Revision ApplicationFor a Minor Revision, the application submission shall consist of a letter requesting the Minor Revision with the reason for the request, and any relevant information such as description of the revision and any emission calculations. the signatory sheet signed by a responsible official shall be included in the submittal. Synthetic MinorSources with the potential to emit air pollutants greater than major source thresholds are required to take federally enforceable emission limitations and/or operation caps in order to be exempt from major source (Title V) licensing requirements. Utilization of Specification Waste OilFacilities licensed to operate fule oil fired boilers may substitute waste oil for fuel oil up to licensed fuel use thresholds. Specification and Non-specification waste oil use must follow waste oil use guidelines. BACT AnalysisApplications for new sources and minor and major modifications to existing sources require a Best Available Control Technology (BACT) analysis. A BACT analysis is a topdown analysis reviewed on a case-bycase basis taking into account energy, envirionmental, and economic impacts. Download NESCAUM's BACT Guideline for a detailed explanation.
