Stores Selling Phosphorus-Free Fertilizer

ALL STORES SHOULD CARRY PHOSPHORUS-FREE!

For a list of products currently available here in Maine please see the supplier's page. We are recommending that retailers carry 70-90% phosphorous free fertilizer stock to meet the new demands.

As a retailer your only requirement is to post a sign describing the law.

We want you and your staff to know about this new law and the purpose behind it. Here is a copy of the Sign that was developed with feedback from local retailers, along with a copy of the Tip Sheets(htm) (pdf) that we have been sending to stores who carried phosphorus-free fertilizer in previous years. Please circulate this tip sheet to your sales people and your customers. The sign will be posted in all stores that sell fertilizer. Both the Sign and Tip Sheets can be printed and copied as you need or contact Barb Welch to receive additional copies. (Please put Phosphorus in subject line of email.)
