HB1982, SB3116--Establishes standards for the discharge of treated sewage, graywater, other wastewater, and air emissions from cruise ships and commercial passenger vessels into the marine waters of the State. Prohibits the discharge of untreated sewage from commercial passenger vessels into the marine waters of the State. Provides for recordkeeping and monitoring. OCCRUZ. An Act pertaining to cruiseship activities and related to ship vessel operations taking place in the marine waters of the State of Alaska.
Application was received in the Lieutenant Governor's Office on April 29, 2003. A copy of the application and signatures were sent to the Department of Law and Division of Elections on April 30, 2003. The Division of Elections determined that there were a sufficient number of sponsor signatures on May 5, 2003. Legal review was received from the Department of Law and was determined that the application was not confined to a single subject; therefore, was denied on August 19, 2003.
