All the settings for creating a map layout are found on
the 'Page and Print Setup' dialog box. To access this, go to the
'File' menu and click on 'Page and Print Setup'. You should see
this:

Printer
Selection
The list of printers available may change from time to time.
Basically it includes all networked printers in MEDEP, and can include
non-MEDEP printers if desired. You can tell which printer to
select based on its name. The first part indicates where the
printer is, the second part tells you what kind of printer it is.
For example:
Ray BN CSU HP Color 5550 - is in the Ray Building, north end of
the basement ('BN'), and is a HP 5550 printer, which is a color
laser printer
Printer types include:
HP Color 5550 – color laser
HP LJ 8000 – black-and-white laser
HP LJ 9050 – black-and-white laser
HP LJ 8150DN – black-and-white laser
HP DJ800 – color plotter
HP DJ 800 PS plotter – color plotter
HP DJ 5000 plotter
– color plotter
HP DkJ - color inkjet printers (up to 11x17 - these are HP DeskJet
printers)
HP DJ - color inkjet plotter (up to 42" wide in Augusta,
36" in regional offices - these are HP DesignJet plotters, we recommend
the DJ 5000 when printing vector data and the DJ 800 PS when printing
photos, for Augusta users)
You can choose any printer on the list - in this way you can quickly
send a map to another office just by printing it to their printer.
Note that the printer list is always sorted alphabetically, and that
you need to specify the printer for every
new
map document. The Citrix server's default printer is
in the Tyson building, so make sure you change this unless you work
there.
Paper

This is where you set the size of the piece of paper your
map will be printed on and the page orientation.

Map Page Size
This setting allows you to create a map which is a different size than
your page. This can cause problems - it is best to leave this
turned 'on'. Otherwise you can create a map which is larger than
your page size and it will not all plot out.
