Citrix
Connection Setup
When first connecting to
the Citrix server 'farm', you will have to show your computer "where"
to find the Citrix servers. Follow these steps to set up your
connection for ArcGIS.
Start the Citrix client by double-clicking the icon
OR .
If you see the DEP-FARM, you are already set up:

However, if you see any other farm, you need to set up the
connection. Double-click the Application Set Manager .
Double-click the 'Find New Application Set' icon .
On the
first screen, choose 'Local Area Network' if you are in Augusta, or
'Wide Area Network' if you are in a regional office, then click 'Next':

On the next screen, click on 'Server Location':

In the 'Locate New Application Set' screen, set the protocol to TCP/IP,
then click on the 'Add' button and enter
dep-eia1tsdcol1.dep.state.me.us. Click 'OK'.

Back at the 'Find New Application Set' screen, select 'DEP-FARM'
from the drop down list and click 'Next'.

Almost done! On this screen, under the 'Window Colors' section,
uncheck the box 'Use Server Default' and choose 'High Color' from the
dropdown list. Click 'Next'.

Click 'Finish' on the last screen to complete the setup.

Now you will be back at the 'Citrix Program Neighborhood', and you will
have a connection called 'DEP-FARM'. Right-click that
connection and choose 'Set as Default'.

Double-click the new connection and you will be asked to log in.
Use your regular Windows username and password, the domain should be
'DEP' (you can check 'Save Password' if you don't want to see the login
screen in the future).

The Program Neighborhood is now populated with your Citrix
applications. Different users will see different applications,
but in general it will look something like this:

That's it! You can double-click any program to start it.
For GIS, ArcMap is the most commonly-used program.
