This class is meant to
introduce you to the different types of GIS data that are available,
how they differ, and how to choose the most appropriate data for your
particular application.
Like the other GIS training classes at MEDEP, this class will focus on
environmental and health issues in the Maine, in this
case petroleum tank farms in Bucksport. These are offloading
points for tankers coming up the Penobscot River. These farms are
closely monitored due to their location along Maine's largest river.
