FGDC-compliant metadata for the original NOAA CCAP data was not found. CCAP data were created with a consistent classification on a scene-by-scene basis for coastal areas. Two different eras of data were created, typically mid-80s and mid-90s. The scenes were then subject to change detection and a third raster created indicating the change. For each grid, the classification used was: 0,'' 1,'Developed-High Intensity' 2,'Developed-Low Intensity' 3,'Cultivated Land' 4,'Grass Land' 5,'Deciduous Forest' 6,'Evergreen Forest' 7,'Mixed Forest' 8,'Scrub/Shrub' 9,'Palustrine Forest' 10,'Estuarine Emergent' 11,'Palustrine Emergent' 12,'Palustrine Scrub/Shrub' 13,'Unconsolidated Shore' 14,'Bare Land' 15,'Water' Source data was LandSat TM data. The original data were in UTM NAD27 coordinates and have been reprojected to UTM Zone 19N NAD83/GRS80. File names are based on the scene and include: 'nh' - New Hampshire and southern Maine 'pen' - Penobscot Bay and mid-coast Maine 'stc' - St Croix and Down East Maine
