FGDC-compliant metadata for the original NOAA CCAP data was not found.

CCAP data were created with a consistent classification on a scene-by-scene basis for coastal areas.  Two different eras of data were created, typically mid-80s and mid-90s.  The scenes were then subject to change detection and a third raster created indicating the change.  For each grid, the classification used was:

Source data was LandSat TM data.  The original data were in UTM NAD27 coordinates and have been reprojected to UTM Zone 19N NAD83/GRS80.  File names are based on the scene and include:
'nh' - New Hampshire and southern Maine
'pen' - Penobscot Bay and mid-coast Maine
'stc' - St Croix and Down East Maine
