Thermostat Recycling Program

Heating wholesalers in Maine are offering coupons worth $5.00 for each mercury thermostat returned to them for recycling.  The $5.00 incentive is funded by the thermostat manufacturers.  All wholesalers accept mercury thermostats from HVAC professionals, and most will take them back from do-it-yourself homeowners.  Updated July 9, 2007 - Plumbing, Heating and Electrical Wholesalers that Recycle Mercury Thermostats.
