Description of Services: Morrison Center is a private, not-for-profit agency and a member of the Greater Portland United Way. We specialize in the support and development of children and adults with and without disabilities. We offer a broad range of day programs and services that support individuals and their families and encourage maximum growth and independence.  The program is located in a new, modern facility with two state of the art greenhouses, an arts and craft studio, indoor gym, culinary areas, and indoor/outdoor fitness equipment.

Consumers are placed in programs and activities according to their specific interests and needs.  Each individual consumer is provided with as much support as needed to address their social, emotional and physical development as well as learning and problem solving in all areas of adult daily life. Activities stress individual choice, independence, community integration and involvement in an appropriate and as unrestricted environment as possible.  Program strengths are: highly skilled team of therapists, medical care support, and direct support professionals; expertise with individuals with physical and medical challenges; flexible programming; strong relationships and communication with guardians, residences, and state agencies; and the ability to serve medically fragile consumers. Morrison programs focus on social, emotional, and physical development in order to promote self-care, awareness, and advocacy.
