Description of Services:  NFI North Inc. is a private non-profit human service agency.  NFI recognizes the significance of the client’s family and community system and approaches service delivery within this context.  NFI North’s Community Case Management is a community based program providing advocacy in obtaining services needed to improve the quality of life for consumers 18 and older who are diagnosed with a developmental disability.

Southern Community Case Management serves consumers within 50 miles of our office in Cumberland, York, Oxford, Androscoggin and Franklin Counties. 

Northern Community Case Management serves consumers within 100 miles of Bangor; we serve Penobscot, Piscataquis, Waldo, Washington and Hancock County. 

Case managers meet with consumers and their families to provide coordination and delivery of services by serving as role models, family mediators, advocates, mentors and resource coordinators.  We also meet the consumer’s needs through the development of person centered plans to empower each member to stay safe, have healthy lifestyles and be an active member of their communities
