Simulation Name: Anchoring a Person in EIS
Simulation Mode: Let me try

Scenario: In this lesson, you will practice the very important concept of Anchoring a Person. To anchor a person in EIS means that your navigation through the system will be tied directly to that person. For an example, if you anchor on Mickey Mouse and then go to the Notes List, you'll only see Mickey's notes. If you then click on Plans, you'll only see Mickey's plans. Anchoring allows you to filter EIS material to only one person at a time and therefore, navigate more easily. There are three methods to anchor a person and they will be covered in this lesson.

Screen Name: First Way

Step: Click Continue Continue

Step: Click ID "Hot Area" ID
User Prompt: You want to anchor Mick Mouse from this page.
Screen Name: #2: People Demographics - Microsoft Internet Explorer

Step: Click Continue Continue
User Prompt: The person is now anchored and navigation through EIS will be connected to the person. Notice their name appears in the Header. Click the button to continue.

Step: Click People "Hot Area" People
User Prompt: Anchor Mick Mouse from your People List page.

Step: Click Search "Hot Area" Search
User Prompt: Perform a search in order to anchor a person.
Screen Name: #2: Search - Microsoft Internet Explorer

Step 1: Select Last Name from the [list box name] list box.
Step 2: Select CONTAINS from the Condition drop-down list.
Step 3: Type mouse in the Value field.
Step 4: Click Add "Hot Area" Add
User Prompt: You want to search for a person with the last name Mouse.
Screen Name: #4: Search - Microsoft Internet Explorer

Step: Click Search "Hot Area" Search
User Prompt: Search for the person.
Screen Name: #5: Search Results - Microsoft Internet Explorer

Step: Click ID "Hot Area" ID
User Prompt: Anchor Mick Mouse.

Step: Click Continue Continue
