Faith has not gotten much response from PSS instructors who need
recertification or interest for new instructors so I thought I better

BHSI MUST HAVE EIGHT (8) PARTICIPANTS REGISTERED to run this course!

(Registered means completed applications submitted to and approved by
BHSI).

Who Should Attend? Qualified professionals who are interested in
becoming newly certified to deliver the DHHS approved Personal Support
Services (PSS) course. Also, any former RCS, PCA or PSS trainers whose
training certification has expired*** or CNA trainers who are interested
in teaching the full PSS curriculum.

 

Dates: June 5-6-7 or June 12-13-14, 2007 (depending on majority)

Course Fees:

$500.00* for 3 day course**
  *Plus the cost of instructor's manual if applicable
  ** Current CNA trainers who would like to teach the full PSS
curriculum need only attend Day 2 at a cost of $165.00
  
Morning & Afternoon Snacks are provided, lunch is on your own

Location & Times:
  
Previous classes have been held in at Thomas College in Waterville, ME &
will run 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This program is intended to prepare professionals to deliver the
Personal Support Services (PSS) course.

The Train-the-Trainer will be delivered over 3 days. Day 1 will focus
on Principles of Adult Learning during the morning and will introduce
modules 1-6 during the afternoon. Day 2 will introduce participants to
the content of the PSS curriculum modules 7-15 (those modules not
included in the CNA curriculum). Day 3 will focus on a Demonstration of
Teaching skills.

  Test Questions and Answers
