As I wrote to Bonnie, this is about READING COMPREHENSION. We
sometimes have both ESL and non-ESL students who have trouble reading
the curriculum, much less a doctor's order or med info. This is a test
that would be given to all students prior to registration. I would
rather save someone $225 (that they would lose if they cannot complete
the class) by finding out at the start whether or not they can read at
an acceptable level (the state recommends a 10th grade reading level
for crma).

I have spoken with Literacy Volunteers and they have recommended one of
two tests: CASAS or TABE. I am going to look into both of them.
