The Department is pleased to announce that we have raised the maximum class
size to 12 students. For those instructors who are not comfortable with
this, please feel free to stay with the 10. Carol has monitored one class
that had more than 10 students and is scheduled to monitor another in July.

It has come to my attention; however, that some instructors may not be
holding students to the 40 hour seat time. Remember the 40 hours is the
min. allowed seat time. If the first day seems short, then adjust your
teaching plans and start on the next section. The students need to have the
entire 40 hours at a min. The max seat time will depend on how the learning
curve is for your students. Remember also that lunch breaks, homework, any
take home quizzes or projects do not replace in class seat time.

Thank you
