beas-crma 24 hour students

If the student needs three passes by an RN, they can go to a Recert and
Bridge to a 40 hour cert just by completing the class as they have met
the Bridging by taking the recert and we only require three passes now
so they don't need more passes.

If the student needs only a Bridge by the certificate information,
Bridge them.

If the student needs 6 Passes, they can bridge and do 3 passes or stay a
24 hour by not doing the 3 passes required by an RN according to the new
curriculum.

Please identify on the validation form that it is a Bridge or the clerks
will not know and the student will get a 24 hour recert.

Please do not send in the class room medication passes because students
have been inadvertinently issued certs because of this.

I would like to hear from you regarding how to reduce the papework that
is submitted keeping accountibility with the paperwork without loosing
the intent of the required paperwork.

For those of you who are teaching the 24 hour classes, some of the
instructors have choosen to start teaching the 40 hour instead of the
24 and have a CRMA do the passes, the certificate is done now so these
certificates can be issued now. Students in these classes can only work
in the BDS Level 1, 2, and 3 MR homes.

The curriculum update and corrections have not been completed as yet for
those changes instructors requested, I will let you know when this
occurs.
