It was mentioned by the Pilot instructor that we have inadvertently left off
in the "guidelines" document that we also need to receive the clinical pass
form with the packet. I will adjust the guideline document and have it sent
back up to the internet. In the meantime this email will serve as notice
that along with everything else we need, please also submit the clinical med
pass sheet. Also, the re-cert classes we have already received, only one
instructor has included the necessary copies of student certificates. No
re-cert packets will be processed without the copies of certificates.
Providers know that CRMAs cannot pass meds once the certificate expires, so
please comply with the requirements of the re-cert course. There are over
6500 CRMAs that will be re-certed in the next two years.

There are some facilities that are sending employees to a 3-day course and
telling the students that this will suffice as a recert course. The
student/employee is expecting a certificate from the Department. Since they
do not complete any med passes we send out a letter that they did not
complete the course. The employee/student are upset that what they are told
is different from what the process really is. Please do not use 3-day
courses as re-cert courses for CRMAs.

Also, students are sending their med pass sheets to this office. Please
remind them to send them back to you the instructor and not here. This is
holding up the process of them getting their certificates.

To date the Department has issued:
CRMA 3-day 762
CRMA 5-day 3,806
CRMA Bridge - 6,587
PSS 1,301
The Old RCS1 612
