Betsy, you make a good point. I am going to create a document that will
outline the major competency areas that the CRMA will be expected to know,
and mail that to all the providers.

There is no reason instructor's can't give out the manual without the
transcription, med pass, and short answers; Carol and I think that is a
great idea. You can review the remainder of the curriculum before the final
exam which is what would be expected. One instructor asked for additional
transcription exercises as she found that some students went and told other
students exactly what the transcription exercise had on it. Feed back from
instructors about the exams, and/or information in the curriculum has been
taken and changes have been made.

You were invited to the meeting we had last October but since you were
unable to make it, you didn't have an opportunity to contribute with the
other instructors. All comments from that meeting, which was attended by a
dozen instructors, along with other comments received, were reviewed and
most comments (if we were able to) were incorporated into this 8-hour
recert. Those in attendance whose input was included were: Lucy Folts, Lynn
Milewski, Carol West, Ham Robbins, Regina Chaisson, Sara Camenga, Nancy
Wilbur, Patti Sponzo-Bechard, Joe Rchmeyer, Janet Drouin, Peggy Chandler,
Betsy Rush and Dee. Those who sent comments were: Bonnie Cole, Florence
Metcalfe, Catheanne Walton and Linda Reed.

We welcome constructive criticism, but I, like all the rest of you,
certainly don't find negative derogatory comments useful in finding a better
way to teach students.

I also welcome feedback from employers/providers on their thoughts around
competency based training for their employees who are passing medications in
their facilities.

Thank you again Betsy.
