Betsy,
There are no consequences attached in calling me Donnie. It is a simple
matter of common courtesy and respect for an individual's preference. No one
who knows me calls me Donnie. It is either Don or Donald. I never denied the
fact that you have been a nurse longer than I, and I also value my license
highly. I worked very hard for it and came up through the ranks. As far as
discipline against my license, that is common knowledge if you read the Bulletin
from MSBN and not your concern. I also believe in providing a quality
education, and believe that through the years, teaching at all levels that I have.
As for ego bruising, I think not. My ego is not bruised at all. I simply
provided the instruction for the Pilot, and concerned over the comments on
this list serve, responded. Not sure where the information you are getting about
the pilot is coming from, but I have shared some of the emails from the list
serve with students from the Pilot class and they disagree, which is their
right. They feel that they learnt a great deal, and in some instances, more
than what they learnt in the original CRMA course they attended or the Bridge
Course.
It seems clearly to me that the only ego bruised here is your own. What
does your Brother Tom have to do with this? Is he an instructor? It seems that
you are waging a personal war against the Department and I for one, prefer
that you do not speak for me. When you say WE on this list serve, it sounds
like you are speaking for ALL instructors and I prefer to do my own talking.
Not sure about other instructors.
Thank you for your time in reading this.
Respectfully,
Donald C. Johnson
