If I may: I had contacted BEAS concerning becoming trained as a trainer
in the CRMA process a week or two ago and as a result have been put on this
listserve. I too, have been involved in education for over 30 years and have
either worked with or been at meetings or seminars with some of the people
who have been posted here today.
I must say that I am totally ashamed of a group of professionals who
have had exchanges that lead to having the Acting Director of the Office of
Elder Services assign a monitor to review messages before they are posted.
This is truly unreal!
There was hostility showing in many of the exchanges not to mention the
bold print - which I have believe is the email equivalent of yelling.
Today has made me rethink becoming involved with this training and also
of where I will be sending some of my staff for their retraining.

I have been reading the series of e-mail messages about the CRMA
recertification course. The purpose of the listserve is to exchange ideas
and information, not to attack individuals.
As of today, I have assigned a monitor to review the messages before they
are posted. Messages will still be responded to by the appropriate staff,
but we will not post inappropriate messages. I'm sorry this was necessary.
