I want to outline to instructors what my expectations will be surrounding
those people who have taken the waivered 24-hour CRMA program since
September 1, 2004. There has been an option allowed for those folks to gain
a full CRMA certificate. Every certificate outlines what that person needs
in order to obtain that full certificate. When and if you are asked to
bring students to a full-time certificate this is what I will need from each
instructor:

1. A copy of that person's CRMA certificate signed by me (keep one copy for
your files)

2. Proof from you that they have successfully completed the 8-hour Bridge
Course (Student Validation form) This is the only reason the Bridge course
would be used after September 1, 2004.

3. Proof of the required med passes done by an RN (Med pass Form supplied
in the 40-hour curriculum) Be sure it is signed and dated by all parties
concerned.

4. Student information form

As I mentioned, every 24 hour certificate issued since September 1, 2004 has
the requirements on it at the bottom center of the certificate. You must
obtain a copy of this certificate in order to know what the student needs to
complete this requirement. It will range from the mandatory Bridge course
to either 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 passes by an RN.

Please send all the information together in one packet. Do not send bridge
course materials and then send med pass materials.

There has been some instructors who have been attempting to Bridge students
for up-grades that there is no 24-hour certificate on file. No one should
be attempting to try this with a 24-hours certificate older than September
2003. All those people must have been Bridged before September 1, 2004.
