The purpose of this e-mail is to alert providers and CRMA students. There
are agencies and instructors who are not informing students and/or providers
of the students correct training options. Many of these students that are
enrolled are not necessarily enrolled for discipline purposes.
This is especially a concern if the student is enrolled in the wrong class,
ie. a student with an expiring 3 Day goes into 3 Day, a Bridge student
doesn't expire for another year put into 3 Day, 40 hour training student not
expired for another year put into 3 Day, a 3 Day student does not expire for
another year taking a 40 hour class or another 3 Day.
I am sorry if the word exploitation is offensive but if someone has fore
knowledge of training information and chooses not to tell the student and/or
provider and money is involved, this is a concern. We are by no mean saying
anything defamatory about any agency or instructor.
Peter will not be developing any document but we are putting a reminder onto
the list serve for instructors and providers regarding this issue. We have
no policies that drive this concern, this is just an ethical consideration
you may want to address as gatekeepers to incoming students.
