Media Tips:
- Use the press
release template (MS Word Doc) and add your organization
contact information.
- Develop your own press kit to include your own success
story (1-page; optional), One ME information and your photos.
- Include 1 or 2 quotes from key members of your organization.
- Interview local experts or other reliable sources for
1 or 2 quotes for your own story.
- Insert 1 – 2 short paragraphs of a related teen
prevention “success story” for which your organization
was responsible for.
- Provide photos of individuals interviewed.
- Plan a meeting, press conference, or a series of one-on-one
meetings with local media.

show you how to plan a media campaign, bring attention to
your group's work or issue, stage a press conference, write
a press release, write and place "op-eds," influence
