The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services(CMS) External site disclaimer, previously known as the Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA), is a federal agency within the United States Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) External site disclaimer that administers the Medicare External site disclaimer program and works in partnership with State governments to administer Medicaid External site disclaimer, the State Children's Health Insurance Program External site disclaimer (SCHIP), and health insurance External site disclaimer portability standards.
