Intended Audience: Department of Health and Human Services employees, foster and adoptive parents and the staff of social service agencies providing services to clients of the Department

In this full day training, participants will get the opportunity to learn interview essentials, while concentrating on the perspective of the employer. This class will cover appropriate interview dress, preparation for the interview, answering interview questions and post interview activities. Guidelines for answering tough interview questions will also be presented. The importance of researching the company and culture of the employer will be stressed. In conclusion we will practice some techniques to help calm the “interview butterflies”. Participants will have the chance to practice answering tough interview questions and can sign up for an individual interview practice/feedback session with the instructor.
