Women, Infants and Children Nutrition Program (WIC)

WIC is a nutrition program for thousands of Maine families. WIC serves all kinds of families with free nutrition advice, tips for staying healthy, recipes, and resources for growing families. You'd be surprised who qualifies.

Who can apply for the Maine WIC Nutrition Program?

  • Women who are pregnant, breastfeeding or had a baby in the past six months.
  • Infants and children up to the age of five including foster children.
  • Fathers may apply for their children.
  • You must live in Maine or be a migrant working in Maine.

 

Getting WIC benefits is easy. Call your nearest WIC office to make an appointment. Your first appointment will take about an hour of your time - one hour that results in life-long benefits for you and your children!
