ASMFC Atlantic Herring Section members from the States of Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts discussed 2009 Area 1A effort controls at a meeting in Durham NH on July 9th 2009. At this meeting it was decided that states would continue to allow two landings days during the specified time period and that the States would meet again on August 3rd to review catch rates and adjust days out specifications as necessary.  This meeting will take place at 10 am on August 3, 2009, at the NH Fish & Game Department Marine Fisheries Division Building, 225 Main St, Durham NH, 03824.
