Atlantic Herring Management Area 3 Open to Directed Fishing, Effective 0001 hours, November 7 through 0001 hours, November 10, 2011

We have updated herring catch information for Management Area 3, and have decided that enough quota is left to allow us to reopen the area for 3 days of fishing. Therefore, the directed fishery for Atlantic herring in Area 3 will reopen from 0001 hours, November 7 to 0001 hours, November 10, 2011. From 0001 hours, November 7 through 0001 hours, November 10, 2011, federally permitted herring vessels can fish for, possess, and land more than 2,000 lb of herring consistent with their herring permit category.
