REMINDER TO LOBSTER LICENSE HOLDERS: Trap Tags Must be in Traps June 1, 2013

The Maine Marine Patrol would like to remind licensed Maine lobstermen that 2013 lobster trap tags are required to be in traps June 1, 2013. Marine Patrol will be enforcing this requirement starting Saturday, June 1.

Maine Marine Patrol reports that delivery of tags this year has been very timely however if tags have not arrived by June 1, 2013, fishermen will be required to wait two weeks from the order date for the delivery of tags before permission to fish without current 2013 tags is granted by the Maine Marine Patrol. Permission will be only granted to fish without current 2013 tags by contacting the Maine Marine Patrol Division offices in Boothbay Harbor by phone at 633-9595, or in Lamoine at 667-3373.

For more information, please contact the Marine Patrol Division I office in Boothbay Harbor by phone at 633-9595, or the Marine Patrol Division II office in Lamoine at 667-3373.
