Gentlemen,

Based on the information we have received to date DMR is prepared to allow Acadian Seaplants Limited (ASL) to harvest in the Sectors indicated on the attached documents (A-6 through 12, A-20 through 24 and A-34 through 36) starting Thursday June 18th, 2009. This information, along with other information we have received from ASL in accordance with the requirements of the new law governing rockweed harvesting in Cobscook, will be posted on our website at the following link; http://www.maine.gov/dmr/rm/rockweed/cobsbay/index.htm as soon as our staff is able.

Mr. Harris and/or Mr. Morse will be able to harvest within the Sectors indicated on the attached documents that have not been allocated to ASL above when they confirm with DMR the following information:

1) what Sectors they wish to harvest in and that those Sectors conform to the Sectors attached,
2) that they are accepting for 2009 the Total Harvestable Biomass as shown on the attached documents, and;
3) what amount they wish to harvest in each of those Sectors in calendar year 2009 and that that amount reflects the subtraction of any "conserved lands".

Assuming submission of the information requested above, DMR will review and contact Mr. Harris and Mr. Morse with how and when to proceed.
