Nova Star Ferry Route, 2014

August 5, 2014 - The Department has been getting inquiries from commercial fishermen regarding the route of the new passenger ferry Nova Star. The ferry travels the shortest route across the Gulf of Maine between Portland, Maine and Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. The company has assured the Maine Marine Patrol and the Maine Lobstermen’s Association that they would be traveling in a path no more than 50 meters wide. The coordinates are listed below.

These are from west to east. Waypoint 17 is off of Monhegan Island.

WP # 15: N43 37 W070 05 (Off of Portland)
WP # 16: N43 37 W069 20
WP # 17: N43 40 W068 42
