Appendix B: Boring Log Records, R. G. Gerber, Inc.

The test drilling logs by Robert G. Gerber, Inc., provide verification for the depth to bedrock determined by seismic data in the area of the borings (Appendix C). Also, the stratigraphic logs from the borings are similar to the log of the exposed section (Figure 5). Note that vane shear strengths on the logs are presented to the right of the material description, under the column entitled Volatile Organic Compounds (ppm) in large type. These measurments are in units of pounds/sq ft. The vane shear measurements are summarized in Figure 11 of the report.
