John Davis, Debate Solutions LLC

John Davis is the two-time coach of the Howard University debate team (1990-1993 and 2003-2006) and has coached hundreds of students from across the US in both high school and college debate. Davis is a former federal and state prosecutor and Director of the Major Crimes/Homicide Division for the Justice Department in the US Virgin Islands. He was also a professor of communications law at Howard University and a language curator at the Smithsonian Institution. John is now the owner of Debate Solutions, LLC, a firm whose mission is to expand civic engagement on complex public policy issues central to federal rulemaking agencies through Public Forum Debates by using top intercollegiate debaters at public hearings and events across the nation.
