Directions to the Maine Conservation Corps (MCC)
& the Natural Resource Service Center (NRSC)
From Northern Maine:
Take I-95 south to Augusta Exit 109 (formerly exit 30) towards Winthrop. Bear right onto Western Avenue; quickly get into the left hand lane and take a left at the next traffic light to change directions. After changing directions, turn right onto Whitten Road at the next traffic light. Hannaford is on your left and Sears mall is on your right. Continue on Whitten Road until it ends. Turn left onto Winthrop Street and go (for 7/8 of a mile) to the top of a very steep hill. On the left is a red sign that says "Hallowell Annex State Offices". Turn into this complex. The Maine Conservation Corps office is in the first building on the left, and the NRSC is the second building on the right.
From Southern Maine:
Take I-95 north to the first Augusta exit 109 (formerly exit 30); continue down the off-ramp and choose the Winthrop exit. As you go down the off-ramp, bear right onto Western Avenue; quickly get into the left hand lane and take a left onto Whitten Road at the traffic light. Hannaford is on your left and Sears mall is on your right. Continue on Whitten Road until it ends. Turn left onto Winthrop Street and go (for 7/8 of a mile) to the top of a very steep hill. From the Augusta Area
From the State House in Augusta, travel south on State Street for 1.7 miles. When entering the City of Hallowell, look for the first street on the right which is Winthrop Street; go up Winthrop Street to the top of the hill; On the right is a red sign that says "Hallowell Annex State Offices". Turn into this complex. The Maine Conservation Corps office is in the first building on the left, and the NRSC is the second building on the right.
