Central Penobscot Region Management Plan
The Maine Bureau of Parks and
Lands is developing a 15-year management plan for approximately
73,000 acres of public lands in the Central Penobscot region. Lands in the plan include Nahmakanta Public Lands northeast of Moosehead Lake, Seboeis Public Lands surrounding Seboeis Lake between Brownville and Millinocket, and public lands in the Wassataquoik valley east of Baxter State Park.

A public scoping meeting was held July 28 in Milo

An advisory committee meeting on Nahmakanta Public Lands was held September 28 from 1-3pm at the Dover-Foxcroft Municipal Building.

Once a final draft is prepared, it will be posted here and a public meeting will be held to receive comments. This will be in the winter.
