The State of Maine Gambling Control Board recognizes that compulsive gambling is a treatable disorder and supports the Office of Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services in trying to raise awareness about it. The Board understands that there are those that need assistance in addressing their gambling issues and would encourage them to seek help by using the services provided by the Office of Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services or their own private service provider. If you need this service or know someone who does please refer to the link below.
The Gambling Control Board also recognizes that some patrons need assistance at the casinos in addressing their gambling issues. The Board has established a statewide self-exclusion list which patrons can use to exclude themselves from both casinos in Maine. The link below will explain what self-exclusion is and what the process if for getting on the list.
