Maine EMS Transition to NREMTOn June 1, 2012, State practical skills evaluations (PSEs) for First Responder, EMT-Basic and EMT-Intermediate will convert to the National Registry of EMTs (NREMT) process. In addition, the EMT-Intermediate cognitive exam will convert to the NREMT computer-based test on June 1st. With the changes in June, all levels of Maine EMS provider license testingwill be based upon or use the psychomotor and cognitive exams from NREMT.
