Recruit Biographies
Recruit Crawford
Recruit Crawford grew up in North Anson, Maine and Graduated from Carrabec High School in 1997.
He was hired by the Madison Police Department in 2002 where he served as the department's
Field Training Officer and a Firearms and Intoxilyzer instructor. Recruit Crawford currently resides
in Madison and would eventually like to be a member of the State Police Tactical Team or Dive Team.
Recruit Quintero
Recruit Quintero was born in Bridgton, Maine and grew up in Newburgh, New York.
He graduated from Marlboro High School in 1995. He attended Manhattanville College
where he earned a B.A. in Political Science with a Minor in Sociology.
Recruit Quintero also attended Pace University School of Law where he earned a Juris Doctor of Law
and practiced Law in New Jersey until 2007. Recruit Quintero currently resides in South Thomaston
and would eventually like to be a part of the Criminal Investigative Division with the State Police.
Recruit Roy
Recruit Roy grew up in Lisbon Falls, Maine and graduated from Lisbon High School in 2004.
He attended Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts where he earned a B.S. in Criminal Justice
. He was a Reserve Officer for the Wells Police Department. Recruit Roy is currently residing in
Gouldsboro, Maine and would eventually like to become a K-9 handler or work with drug interdiction.
Recruit Russell
Recruit Russell grew up in Norway, Maine and graduated from Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School in 2002.
He was a member of the United States Air Force from 2002 to 2008, where he served 3 tours in Iraq.
Recruit Russell is currently residing in Burnham, Maine and would eventually like to be a K-9 handler
or a member of the State Police Tactical Team.
Recruit Short
Recruit Short grew up in Eliot and South Berwick, Maine, and graduated
from Marshwood High School in 2004. In the summers between college,
Recruit Short was a Reserve Officer with the Kennebunkport Police Department.
In 2008 he graduated from The Citadel: The Military College of South Carolina with a B.A.
in Criminal Justice. Also in 2008, he received his commission as a Second Lieutenant in the Army National Guard,
and will be attending Military Police school following the Academy.
Recruit Short hopes to be a third generation Maine State Trooper.
