Recruit Biographies
Recruit Bagley
Recruit Bagley was born in Presque Isle and grew up in Washburn.
He graduated from Washburn District High School in 2003 and attended
Husson University. He graduated from Husson University in 2007 with a
Bachelor's Degree Criminal Justice and a minor in Psychology.
After college, Recruit Bagley worked as a Correction's Officer
at the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office. He was hired by
Bangor Police Department and graduated from the
13th Basic Law Enforcement Training Program in 2007 and worked
as a patrolman. Recruit Bagley currently resides in Glenburn and
would like to be a K-9 Handler.
Recruit Bond
Recruit Bond grew up in Farmington and graduated from Mount Blue High School in 2007.
He attended University of Maine-Farmington in 2007 and majored in Business Economics.
In the fall of 2009, he worked for the Carrabassett Valley Police Department
part-time as a patrolman. He currently resides out of Farmington and would like
to be a K-9 Handler or part of the Criminal Investigation Division.
Recruit Bonnevie
Recruit Bonnevie was born in Bangor and grew up in Winterport.
He graduated from Hampden Academy and enlisted in the Air National Guard
where he worked as an Aircraft Mechanic and still continues to serve.
He also worked for Veazie Police Department from 2009-2010 as a part-time
patrolman. Recruit Bonnevie currently resides in Hermon and would like to
become a member of the Tactical Team.
Recruit Coflesky
Recruit Coflesky grew up in Royalston, Massachusetts and graduated from
Athol High School in 2006. He also attended Endicott College and interned
with Salem Police Department's CID Unit. Recruit Coflesky earned his Bachelor's
Degree in Criminal Justice in 2010. After college, he worked for the KEY Program
out of Lawrence/Lowell, Massachusetts as a juvenile tracker. Recruit Coflesky
currently resides out of Clinton, Maine and would like to be part of K-9 Unit
or the Tactical Team.
Recruit Lacoste
Recruit Lacoste was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts and grew up in
Centerville, Massachusetts. He graduated from Bishop Stang High School in 2001
and attended Unity College. In 2005, Recruit Lacoste graduated with a Bachelor's
Degree in Conservational Law Enforcement. He worked as a part-time patrol officer
for Westport, MA in 2005-2007 before being hired by Augusta Police Department.
Recruit Lacoste graduated from the 14th Basic Law Enforcement Training Program
in 2008 and is a certified Spike Mat Instructor, Crisis Intervention Team,
and was an Special Response Team Member. He currently resides out of Augusta
and would like to be part of the CID Unit or K-9 Team.
Recruit Monahan
Recruit Monahan was born in Southhampton, Massachusetts and graduated from
Hampshire Regional High School in 2006. She attended Westfield State University
where she double-majored in Criminal Justice and Psychology with a minor in
Business Management. Recruit Monahan currently resides in Unity, Maine and
would like to become a K-9 Handler, Dive Team member, or a Crisis Negotiator.
Recruit Morrell
Recruit Morrell was born in Waterville and grew up in Newport, Maine
. He graduated from Nokomis Regional High School in 2005 and enlisted in the
Maine Air National Guard. There, Recruit Morrell worked in Security Forces,
and he currently serves with the Maine Air National Guard. In 2007,
he was hired part-time with Newport Police Department as a patrolman and in 2009,
was hired full-time. During 2008 he was deployed for Operation Enduing Freedom
in Qatar. He also attended Husson University and graduated in 2009 with
a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. In 2010 he graduated from the
18th BLETP. Recruit Morrell currently resides out of Newport and would like
to be a K-9 Handler.
Recruit Pelletier
Recruit Pelletier grew up in Monmouth, Maine and graduated from Monmouth Academy 2005.
He enlisted in the United States Navy and worked in Aviation Ordnance for a
Strike Fighter Squadron based out of Virginia Beach, Virginia. He has been deployed
three times in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom,
and Operation Horn of Africa. Recruit Pelletier was honorably discharged in 2010.
He currently resides Topsham, Maine and would like to be part of the K-9 Unit
or Tactical Team.
Recruit Quintana
Recruit Quintana was born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico and grew up in
Worcester, Massachusetts. He graduated from South High School in 2002 and
attended Quinsigamond where he earned his Associates degree in
Automotive Technology in 2006. Recruit Quintana currently resides in
Gardiner, Maine and would like to be part of the vehicle autopsy unit.
Recruit Sweeney
Recruit Sweeney was born in Belfast and grew up in Waldo.
He graduated from Belfast Area High School in 1998 and attended Norwich University
(Military College of Vermont). While at Norwich University was participated in
the Corps of Cadets and interned with the U.S. Marshal Service- Portland District.
He graduated from Norwich University in 2002 with a Bachelor's Degree in
Political Science and a minor in Criminal Justice. He also received his
Master's Degree in Political Science from American Military University in 2009.
Recruit Sweeney was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in 2002 as a Space
and Missiles Officer holding various assignments until 2010 and was honorable
discharged as a Captain. Recruit Sweeney currently resides out of Winterport
and would like to be a K-9 Handler.
Recruit Wells
Recruit Wells grew up in Jay and graduated from Jay High School in 2006. He attended Southern Maine Community College where he majored in Criminal Justice. In 2010 he worked at the Maine Correction Center in Windham as a Corrections Officer. He currently resides in Jay and would like to become part of the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.
Recruit Wing
Recruit Wing grew up in Augusta and graduated from Cony High School in 2005. After High School he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp and worked as a Traffic Management Specialist. In 2009 he was honorably discharged and worked at the Kennebec County Correctional Facility as a Corrections Officer. In 2010, Recruit Wing was hired by Winthrop Police Department and graduated from the 18th Basic Law Enforcement Training Program. Recruit Wing is also enrolled in Columbia Southern University where he is majoring in Administrative Criminal Justice. He currently resides out of Manchester and would like to become part of the Executive Protection Unit.
