MAINE STATE POLICE TROOP C MEDIA WEEKLY INCIDENT REPORT
June 2, 2014
On 05-25-14 Tr. G.J. Neagle stopped Matthew Derosby (19) who was operating a 2002 Ford Explorer in Skowhegan, with a fictitious inspection sticker. The inspection sticker was a fraudulent 2013 2014 lime green sticker, with both the front and back printed on cardboard. Derosby was summonsed accordingly.
On 5-26-14 Tpr. Joseph Chretien stopped NICHOLAS RASO, (21), out of Auburn MA for 101 on I-95 in Clinton.
On 5-26-14, Tpr. Blake Conrad conducted a traffic stop on I-95 MM 155 NB in Palmyra, for an expired inspection violation. During the investigation and search of the vehicle, Tpr. Conrad confiscated 29 marijuana plants from the vehicle concealed in a cardboard box. Chum Cram (37) of Augusta was charged with Cultivation of Marijuana Class D.
On 5-26-14 Tpr. David Powser was dispatched to a domestic assault on Prescott Rd in Manchester. Dawn Darling (42) charged with assault.
On 5-27-14 Tpr. Powser responded to a vehicle that slid off the road on Route 17 in Fayette. It was discovered that the operator, Michael Shank (23), had been drinking and was subsequently charged with OUI.
On 5-28-14, Tr. Randy Hall and Tr. Jesse Duda investigated a traffic accident in Belgrade where the driver fled the scene. Amy Toman (33) was transported to Maine General in Augusta due to her level of intoxication. Toman was charged with the following, Violation of Condition of Release, Operating After Suspension, Leaving the Scene of a Traffic Accident, Possession of Scheduled W drugs.
On 5-28-14 Tr. Reid Bond responded to the report of a motor vehicle crash on the Kennebago Road in Lang Township where the operator and occupants left the scene. Christopher Benoit (38) located and arrested and charged with leaving the scene of a crash, failing to report, driving to endanger, and operating without a license.
On 5-29-14, Tr. Randy Hall and Tr. Jesse Duda responded to Belgrade for a possible domestic. After speaking with both parties it was determined that no assault had taken place and it was only a verbal altercation.
5-31-14: Tpr. Michael Pion conducted a reconstruction of a serious personal injury crash in Lewiston. Investigation continues.
